Wah lau......

Well, this happened quite a while back, but it is something really sudden and shocking to me.

It was after two Sunday service ago, when the beauty pageants and manhunt finalists gathered together for a nice meal in Zanmai in Pyramid. They invited Careen too as she was a really good help to them (well, she was the runner), and I, being the sampat one, would definitely be there. Haha no la, they invited me too. Frankly speaking I don't know why. But anyhow, I went for the lunch too. The food there was nice, surprisingly cheap. Er, it's not really cheap cheap, but it was cheaper than expected, and cheaper than Zen over at the opposite. I had the grilled eel rice thing (I really don't know what is that dish called), and as normal, Careen's food were all orange. Those who know her well enough, yea, you know what the food was. Dear, try la something else. =P

Anyhoo, that's not my point. The main highlight of the day was this, we just finished ordering our food, and Careen went fellowshipping with everyone else. Oh did I mention that Pastor Kevin, Esther, David, Andrea, Joy and Ah Wen were there too? So yeap, Careen went fellowshipping with them and left me alone... *sobs sobs* Hehe no la, actually I was talking to Raymond and I think she was bored so she went chatting with other people.

So as I was talking with Raymond, suddenly I felt a chill down my spine. Suddenly I felt Careen was hopping towards me, and yes, she was literally hopping towards me, and with that normal cheeky big wide smile of hers, I knew she had something to tell me. And usually this kind of smile, it's not really good news to me. My alarm started ringing, and all I could hear at that time was, *danger! danger! danger!* Ahaahahah super drama man me. I really don't know what's wrong with me today, super lame. But yea, to continue, so Careen hopped to me, tap my shoulder, and told me this:

Careen: Dear, guess what.
Me: (scared) Er, yea?
Careen: Just now Esther asked me whether are you in the dance production or not.
Me: (lagi scared) Er, and then?
Careen: Then she said (I presume their conversation went like this)

Esther: Careen, er, Boon Hock's not in the dance production right?
Careen: Yea loh, he's not in.
Esther: Oh, well, yea, he's in the production.
Careen: *gasp* really?
Esther: Yea, and he's playing the role of the pastor.
Careen: *Yelps excitingly* (then she starts hopping towards me)

Me: Er... and my face went: =________='
Careen: *gives me that big big cheeky smile*

To those who know me, they would know I'm not a front stage person. I prefer to do things 'behind the scene' style. I'm not into performing arts, I prefer doing technical things. So yea, this was really a big surprise to me. But I'm glad that Pastor and Esther gave me this chance to do this. It's an honor to be able to serve in church. And the best part is, I get to work in a production where my dearest will be the lead. This is really gonna be great. And I really thank God for this oppurtunity and blessings. Yay! =)
