This is the season of Hari Raya, where all Malays in Malaysia are celebrating this festive season of theirs. However, in the effort of making a bangsa Malaysia, many non-malays have been celebrating this festival by attending open houses by their malay friends and peers. It is a very good thing. And it is a very good effort by the government to actually open house in PWTC for everyone. However, something disturbs me. I read somewhere, can't remember where though, that the Hindraf people were denied access to meet the prime minister initially. And after some speculations, only were they allowed to line up to meet him. Yea I understand that it is true that they are there to protest in hoping of the release of their members from ISA by handing a letter to the PM, but how did the security know that who is from Hindraf? Even if they know, how would they know that these people want to hand the PM a letter? Then again, maybe the Hindraf people told the security. I can actually imagine that:
Hindraf: Oi! I nak jumpa itu PM!
Security: Untuk apa? Hah? Nak cari pasal ka?
Hindraf: Cari pasal lu punya kepala la! I nak bagi surat ni!
Security: Tak boleh!
Well, why la cannot? The thing is, they are not there to create havoc, and they as citizens of Malaysia are entitled to meet the PM during this event, why were they denied access in the first place? Weird. Speaking of democracy and freedom in Malaysia.
This is all out of topic of what I wanted to blog about. What la me, so cheong hei. Hahah But yeap, it's still about Hari Raya though. So those who watch tv a lot would know that PM has made a recording to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya. And I can't help but to notice how sloppy and sleepy he was. Throughout his speech, Jeanne would just stand there and smile at the camera. And at the end of his wishes, he and Jeanne wished everyone Selamat Hari Raya, but PM started of saying Selamat, then only Jeanne join in to say Hari Raya. Urmm.... it could be an error of timing, or maybe it is out of the script and she just wanna SS and join in. However, what amuses me is this, if indeed it was an error, why couldn't they take another take of that scene? Even if it was not an error, they should have spotted that defect and do it one more time! Even HTV in church would say cut! Do one more time! HTV is a church announcement, and yet they do it so professionally. This is a national greeting from the country's premier! Why so sloppy? Hmmmm............
Haha I notices these days I've been noticing about these political stuff too much. Making my life unhappy. Not good not good.
On a happy note, I've been offshore for a week now. Another 5 more days and I'll be flying home. Yay! =D
